GlobalIdGenerator requires one of those unless the system is 64-bit, and since I72c5e6f86b7f081ab5ce7a56f5365d2f75067a78 that code path is hit on all page views. Document that requirement and check it during install time to provide a better experience. MediaWiki
MediaWiki is a free and open-source wiki software package written in PHP. It serves as the platform for Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects, used by hundreds of millions of people each month. MediaWiki is localised in over 350 languages and its reliability and robust feature set have earned it a large and vibrant community of third-party users and developers.
